Utility Bill Assistance

Low Income Assistance Program for Electric Bills

Sponsored by Emera Maine, Central Maine Power Company, and Eastern Maine Electric Co-op, this program provides a monthly reduction on electric bills. Benefits vary with utility company plan and household income.

Requirements:
You must be eligible for HEAP to access this program. This application is done at the same time as your HEAP application. See Heating Assistance for details.

Electric Bill Credit

The Resource Advocate Program (RAP) offers educational training, which when completed, provides a credit of $50 off an electric bill per module completed up to $300.
