Provides administrative support in a variety of functions to the Housing Division.  Collects, reviews and analyzes data and prepares reports, billings, budget, client files, and other materials.  Responds to or routes routine inquiries from external or internal sources with own correspondence or other messaging.  Schedules and coordinates meeting, travel and other division functions.  Responsible for creating reports/billings and distributing on a regular schedule. 

Qualifications:

·                One to three years related experience in an office setting

·                Advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics software skills

Summary Description

The Child and Adult Care Program Outreach Worker is responsible to the Nutrition Manager for the recruitment of and support to child care providers participating in DCP’s Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).  Travel throughout service area necessary; primary service area is Washington County and some Hancock County.  20 hours per week.

Summary Description

Downeast Community Partners is a mission driven organization, headquartered in Ellsworth, that serves Hancock and Washington counties. We are a community action program with a mission to improve the quality of life and reduce the impact of poverty in Downeast communities. Our services span birth to elder care and are exemplified by our programs which provide assistance with transportation, energy assistance, home repair, financial coaching, elder care services, prenatal services, and early childhood education. DCP is known for creating effective partnerships with local agencies and municipal governments as we work together to address the needs of the most vulnerable in our communities.

The ideal candidate will have proven skills in customer service and communications, data entry and analysis, and display teamwork skills in a fast paced environment.

 

Responsibilities

·       Logs and catalogues calls from customers for rides using prescribed format

·       Learns and employs procedures defined by Transportation system of operation

·       Creates and maintains client files for ready distribution, along with forms and reports

·       Responds to outside and inside personnel requesting data

·       Crosstrain with administrative assistant in Transportation Division

·       Acts as key contributor, team player, and troubleshooter for data needs throughout the division.

Qualifications- Required

Location: Calais and Machias

Downeast Community Partners (DCP) is pleased to be a partner in an innovative, two-generation educational program for parents and children in Washington County.  Family Futures Downeast offers parents the opportunity to complete a one-year program in Family Studies at either the University of Maine Machias or Washington County Community College. DCP provides a nutritious family meal and high quality early education services and supports for the children (age 0-8) of parents who attend the program two evenings each week.

The early education program supports healthy child development through developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities provided by a staff of trained caregivers, teachers, and food service technicians.  Services are geared to the needs of infants, toddlers, preschool, and early primary school-age children.

WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING:

Food Service Technician, Calais – 8 hours per week; Tuesday and Thursday 3:00-7:00 PM

Food Service Technician, Machias – 8 hours per week; Tuesday and Thursday 3:30-7:30 PM

Downeast Community Partners (DCP) is hiring for our Maternal-Child Nurse Home Visiting Program. The positions may be part-time or full-time and is available in Washington and Hancock County. 

Offers women the comprehensive, one-on-one care of a visiting registered nurse during pregnancy and throughout the baby’s first years of life.

Provides invaluable health assessment, education, medical care, emotional support, and information.

Helps create a positive pre- and postnatal experience for moms and a healthy start for babies.

 

Desired skills include:

A strong desire to help families, meet them where they are at, and assist in barrier removal.

Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills. 

Prenatal, postpartum, and pediatric experience.

The ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and have excellent time management skills. 

Education required:

Active RN license required

Must have at least 12 months experience working with infants/toddlers in a child care facility.

Location: Hancock and Washington counties

We are seeking part-time drivers for Hancock and Washington counties. We provide transportation to low-income, elderly, as well as the general public. Our vehicles are easy to operate and require no special license, just a good driving record and a desire to provide safe and pleasant transportation to the people we serve. Flexible schedules available.

Candidate must have clean driving record, pass criminal and child protective background checks, meet drug and alcohol testing requirements, and not have an active record on the System for Award Management (SAM) website.

Location: Blue Hill

Friendship Cottage is an Adult Day Program in Blue Hill, Maine. DCP is seeking to enlarge their Per Diem pool for CNA/CRMA.

The CNA/CRMA is responsible for the direct care of consumers receiving services. The position will be responsible for participating in the provision of a safe and secure environment and personal care assistance.

Qualifications: Applicants for CNA/CRMA must be currently licensed. Prior nursing/assisted living facility experience preferred. Must be able to work Saturdays on occasion, willing to transport consumers, have clean driving record, reliable transportation, and pass criminal background check.

Location: Ellsworth Early Care and Education Center

The Ellsworth ECE center has an excellent career opportunity for those desiring to promote the growth and development of young children in a center based program. Successful candidate will be responsible for design and implementation of a program in a center-based classroom for 3-5 year-old children in conjunction with other center staff. The following location, Ellsworth Elementary Middle School has an excellent career opportunity for those desiring to promote the growth and development of young children in a center based program. Successful candidate will be responsible for design and implementation of a program in a center-based classroom for 3-5 year-old children in conjunction with other center staff. This is a full-time position - 35 hours/week and 33 weeks/year. Position available for candidates with Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or 081 Certification, and experience working with young children.

Location: Trenton

We have an opening for a Program Aide at our preschool program located in the Trenton Elementary School. Responsibilities include working with children in a classroom setting and providing additional support to the teaching staff for 2.5 hours each day. Must be dependable and able to cover Monday through Friday each week. Residential Carpenter

Responsible for performing multiple repair and maintenance task that include, but not limited to carpentry work, painting, and outdoor maintenance for seniors aging in their homes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

·       Carpentry and general construction to include woodwork, sanding, painting, etc.

·       General plumbing to include toilets, faucets, fix leaks, etc.

·       Repairs and installation of doors, doorknobs, locks, ramps, etc.

·       Outdoor maintenance to include debris removal

·       Electrical maintenance to include installation of lighting, light bulbs, fuses, etc.

Skills and knowledge required:

·       One to three years of maintenance or carpentry experience resulting in basic knowledge of building construction.

·       General knowledge of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems equivalent to one year of trades training.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

·       Valid Maine Driver’s License, vehicle and valid insurance coverage.

Location: Washington County

Downeast Community Partners is hiring for the full-time position of Resource Advocate.  This person will work with individuals and families who are economically vulnerable to provide assistance and support in managing the challenges they are experiencing.  The position will include both short-term assistance with immediate needs as well as ongoing work with more long-term goals; the overall goal being to help people improve their quality of life and ultimately move out of poverty.  This will mean working on smaller goals in many different areas of life depending on the needs.  The successful candidate will have a 4-year degree in Social Work or a related field, be willing to travel throughout Washington County and occasionally outside Washington County, and demonstrate the skills necessary to help participants be successful.
