This full-time position provides administrative support for several programs within the Supportive Services Division.  The successful candidate will respond to program inquiries; process referrals for the various programs; collect, enter, and review data; prepare and submit reports; assist with participant file reviews; prepare paperwork; order supplies; schedule and coordinate meetings, along with other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

·       One to three years related experience in an office setting

·       Advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics software skills

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Excellent telephone skills

·       Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work, as well as work independently.

Location: Blue Hill

Administrative Assistant -- At Home program located in Blue Hill – Part-time/ 20 hours per week

At Home is a medical model, volunteer supported, member-based, non-profit program providing essential support services for elders aging in their own homes.

The At Home administrative assistant will focus on supporting the program by working with the manager in the following:

·       Recruiting and maintaining membership/volunteers along with administrative office duties as assigned.

·       Offer face-to-face tutorials for the web base volunteer calendar – Volunteer Matters

·       Provide follow-up, ongoing support, and appreciation for all volunteers and members

·       Assist with organizing volunteer appreciation events and other recognition efforts

·       Maintain volunteer schedule by emailing and calling volunteers/members to fill member needs


Skills Required

·       Ability to work with diverse populations and have community awareness/sensitivity

·       Ability to learn and adapt to new technology – access to computer and internet

·       Ability to work a flexible schedule

·       Excellent communication and organizational skills

·       Strong written and communication skills are paramount.


 Education required

·       Two year post-secondary academic degree preferred or two years of experience in a busy office setting.

Location: Blue Hill

Downeast Community Partners has a part-time, approximately 20 hours/wk opening for a certified CRMA/CNA to work at our Friendship Cottage location. Located in Blue Hill, the goal of Friendship Cottage is to help seniors remain physically active and socially engaged through access to our adult day program.


·      Personal care plans that address each individual’s needs.

·      Provides participation in the provision of a safe and secure environment.

Required qualifications:

·      CRMA and a CNA license

·      Prior work history as a CNA or CRMA in a residential medical facility.

·      Willing to transport consumers

The primary purpose of this position is to provide job guidance, training, and coaching support to classroom teaching staff who work in early childhood programs. 


  • Work in classrooms to increase teacher’s knowledge, skills and abilities in using child assessment data to connect curriculum and instruction.
  • Improve participation for a broad range of diverse learners including children with disabilities, those from varied cultures and racial and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Provide a repertoire of skills and strategies to provide group training support, on-site classroom direction and individual teacher support to observe, model, demonstrate and provide reflection and feedback to teaching staff.

Qualifications -  Required:

  • Bachelors’ degree in early childhood education, early childhood special education, education leadership or related field required.
  • At least five years’ experience teaching and supervising a preschool program.
  • Understanding and experience in teaching adults including providing consultation or coaching is desired.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Work collaboratively with others.
  • Must possess a desire to continue research regarding ECE.
  • Engage in learning about changing, new and emerging evidence based approaches.
  • Must work in a dynamic atmosphere and adapt to the changing needs and demands of the project.

Location: Washington & Hancock counties

Downeast Community Partners (DCP) is hiring for our Maternal-Child Nurse Home Visiting Program. The positions may be part-time or full-time and are available in Washington and Hancock counties. 

Offers women the comprehensive, one-on-one care of a visiting registered nurse during pregnancy and throughout the baby’s first years of life.

Provides invaluable health assessment, education, medical care, emotional support, and information.

Helps create a positive pre- and post-natal experience for moms and a healthy start for babies.


Desired skills include:

A strong desire to help families, meet them where they are at, and assist in barrier removal.

Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills. 

Prenatal, postpartum, and pediatric experience.

The ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and have excellent time management skills. 

Education required:

Active RN license required

Infant/Toddler Caregiver for the Ellsworth Early Care & Education Program, located at 18 Avery Lane Ellsworth.

This is a full-time year round position. Our Caregivers are responsible to plan and implement, in partnership with families, a responsive curriculum and classroom environment that promotes optimal growth and development of infants and toddlers in a full-day, full-year program. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing meaningful relationships with parents and their young children that will enhance the bond between parent and child.

Education and Experience:  Must have experience working with infants/toddlers in a classroom environment and strong organization and communication skills.

Location: Hancock and Washington counties

We are seeking part-time drivers for Hancock and Washington counties. We provide transportation to low-income, elderly, as well as the general public. Our vehicles are easy to operate and require no special license, just a good driving record and a desire to provide safe and pleasant transportation to the people we serve. Flexible schedules available.

Candidate must have clean driving record, pass criminal and child protective background checks, meet drug and alcohol testing requirements, and not have an active record on the System for Award Management (SAM) website.

Location: Ellsworth Early Care and Education Center

The Ellsworth ECE center has an excellent career opportunity for those desiring to promote the growth and development of young children in a center based program. Successful candidate will be responsible for design and implementation of a program in a center-based classroom for 3-5 year-old children in conjunction with other center staff. This is a full-time position, 40 hours/week and year round. Must have experience working with young children in a classroom environment. Degree and certification opportunities once hired.

Location: Milbridge

Downeast Community Partners (DCP) is seeking (2) full-time Weatherization Technicians with full benefits, including health insurance, disability insurance, retirement, and paid-time off, to join its operations.  The Weatherization Technician works as a part of the weatherization team to install measures designed to improve the energy efficiency of homes.  This position performs direct service installs, including installation of home weatherization materials, minor carpentry repairs, repairs to stop cold air infiltration, and associated record keeping.  The position is based out of Milbridge with travel in Washington and Hancock counties.  Some overnight travel may be required. Technicians interact with the public and customers in a courteous manner and present a neat appearance on the work site.

Successful candidate will be highly motivated to work, effective in a teamwork environment and committed to safety. Required skills include familiarity with construction power tools and basic knowledge of residential dwellings and basic building science. Prior experience with weatherization materials and services is a plus as is actual home construction experience. 

Candidate must have clean driving record, pass a criminal background check, and have a high school diploma or equivalency.
