Top to Bottom Drive — At a Location near You!

May 26, 2023 Time(s): 9:00 AM-3:00 PM

DCP is hosting a Top to Bottom Drive to collect critically needed personal hygiene and home cleaning items. The drive will take place Friday, May 26 at Hannaford in Bar Harbor, Ellsworth, and Machias; Walmart in Calais; and the Blue Hill Co-op.

Why is this important?

SNAP benefits do not cover hygiene and cleaning items. Yet without them, families may struggle to retain employment and/or childcare, and they may also struggle to maintain a healthy, safe home environment.

Here's how you can help!

  1. Mark your calendar for the date of the event.
  2. Encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same.
  3. On May 26, come see DCP's staff at any of the above locations and donate a few items from our shopping list.

Shopping List

  • Diapers (size 3 to pull-ups)
  • wipes
  • shampoo
  • conditioner
  • soap
  • deodorant
  • toothpaste
  • toothbrushes (adult and child sizes)
  • disinfectant spray
  • sponges
  • dish soap
  • paper towels

Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated. You can donate online here. Select the "Supportive Services General" fund and note "Top to Bottom Drive" in the comment section.

Donations of goods or funds can also be dropped off Monday through Friday 7:30 AM-4:00 PM at DCP’s offices in Ellsworth (248 Bucksport Road) and Machias (7 VIP Drive).
